The increase in bicycle travel is the largest since 2014. One explanation is that travel generally decreased during the corona pandemic and that many chose the bicycle to avoid infection.

Södertälje is one of the municipalities that is at the forefront when it comes to the expansion of the regional bicycle network.
Among other things, the cycle path between Nykvarn and Södertälje was completed in November.
That is why Södertälje is now being praised as this year's cycling achievement in the Stockholm Region.
