Russia will begin next week seven days of paid vacation and in Moscow a closure of essential services for ten days, for now.

For now, because everyone in the country expects an extension as the situation is catastrophic on the front of the epidemic.

Russia recorded this Friday, October 22, new daily records of deaths and contaminations, with 1,064 dead and 37,141 infected identified.

For the first time, the authorities recognize that in this area, Europe has taken the lead.

It's a real turnaround in six months.

Last winter and spring, the Kremlin relished the image of its Western rivals and, in particular, the European Union.

Vaccines in drops, prolonged harsh restrictions, the disunity that was emerging, Slovakia or Austria who proclaimed out loud to free themselves from the policy of the European Commission and went it alone by commanding Sputnik V.  

A semester later, the Russian national vaccine is still not recognized by the European Medicines Agency, and it is shunned by the population: " 

We are in a worse situation than a whole series of European countries

 ", released the Kremlin spokesman this Friday, in a very unusual bout of frankness.
