This was stated by the president of the Higher Institute of Health, Silvio Brusaferro, in the press conference on the analysis of the weekly monitoring data.
"The average age of hospitalization is increasing to 67 and mortality shows a slight increase, even if the numbers are limited," he added.
And then: "For both the Alpha and Delta variants, the efficacy of the anti-Covid vaccine remains very high against hospitalizations and deaths, also as regards contracting the infection".
