In recent years, the Moderates have gradually sharpened their policy regarding law and order.

As the party now sets the policy for next year's election, several of the proposals are recognizable from the political debate.

These include, for example, that anonymous witnesses should be allowed in courts, that terrorism legislation should also apply to gang criminals and that the police should be able to establish so-called visitation zones in particularly vulnerable areas.

The legal issues are dealt with by the moderate meeting on Saturday.

However, the committee that prepares the issues for the meeting has sharpened the party's legal policy on several points.

A controversial issue that has been raised and supported by the AGM committee is that the age of criminal responsibility, which is currently 15 years, should be investigated and lowered to 13 years.

Earlier, the party has admittedly said it advocates lowering the age of criminal responsibility, but has not specified to what age.

Criminal gangs use younger ones

One reason why the Moderates want to lower the age of criminal authority to 13 is, among other things, recurring reports that criminal gangs are increasingly using younger children in their activities.

The Sweden Democrats already have party decisions to lower the age of criminal responsibility.

In that case, this will be another issue where the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats agree.

New proposal: increased camera surveillance

Another new proposal produced by the AGM committee is that camera surveillance will be greatly expanded in Sweden.

According to a proposal that the committee supported, camera surveillance will be in place in all so-called vulnerable areas in the country.

Municipalities and regions must also be given the opportunity to set up cameras in public environments without permit requirements.

These are just some of the proposals that the Moderates' general meeting will decide on on Saturday.

The party's intention is in the election campaign next year to push hard issues concerning law and order.

Here, the Moderates have great confidence among the voters.

At the same time, it is an issue that has become increasingly important for voters in recent years, largely as a result of developments with more and more shootings and fatal shootings.
