Media published a video allegedly recorded by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, while returning illegally to his homeland, hidden in a trailer full of milk products.

And this video, which was published by the Georgian IMEDI channel today, Friday, shows Saakashvili, probably hiding inside that trailer on a ship heading from Ukraine to Georgia, where he was later arrested.

In this video, the former Georgian president addressed his supporters, claiming that he was kidnapped by the intelligence services of a foreign country.

The channel suggested that Saakashvili was intending to publish this video on the Internet in the event of betrayal by the people who helped him to return to Georgia illegally (they were also arrested by the Georgian police).

According to press reports, Saakashvili, who also holds Ukrainian citizenship, arrived at the Georgian port of Poti on September 29, inside the aforementioned trailer, on board the ship "Vilnius".

Two days later, Georgian authorities arrested Saakashvili, who is facing charges in a number of criminal cases, including corruption, murder and violating presidential powers, in the capital, Tbilisi, on October 1.

Saakashvili insists his detention is not legal, and has declared a hunger strike in prison.
