Rescuers at sea assisted a fishing boat and its four occupants caught in the Aurora storm overnight from Wednesday to Thursday off Le Havre (Seine-Maritime).

The ship called

Le Kiff'2

was 17 km from the coast at Cap de la Hève when it was the victim of a waterway and electrical damage, says 76 Actu.

The emergency services then organized themselves to help him.

The regional operational surveillance and rescue center (Cross) Jobourg coordinated the operations.

He broadcast a distress message asking the nearest buildings to mobilize.

The National Society for Rescue at Sea (SNSM) of Honfleur (Calvados) and that of Ouistreham (Calvados) each sent a canoe on site.

A pilot boat and a fishing boat navigating in the area also intervened.

A pump brought on board the ship

The Caiman Marine helicopter of the French Navy also visited the scene.

He hoisted a diver and a pump aboard the endangered vessel.

The latter was then able to return to the fishing port of Le Havre surrounded by other boats.

The maritime prefecture of the North Sea and the Channel praised "the efficiency and responsiveness of the actors acting daily for the action of the State at sea and the safeguard of human life".
