Last Monday, when Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung attended, the topic of 'the first round of Daejang-dong state audit' was undoubtedly a 'photo of a bundle of money'.

This is a picture of a bundle of cash, which was posted by Rep. Kim Yong-pan of People's Strength as a picture given to the governor by Park Mo, a member of a gang in the Seongnam area.

The power of the people raised momentum by promoting the 'gangster involvement', but it did not last less than half a day.

This is because Democratic Party lawmaker Han Byung-do found a photo of the same cash posted on an SNS.

The photo was posted on Facebook by a person believed to be the same person in November 2018 as 'money earned from rental car and lounge bar business'.

Controversy over the authenticity of the photo is ongoing, but at least that day, it was safe to say that the state inspection actually ended there. The governor criticized it as "comedy," and Democratic lawmakers switched to counterattack mode and launched a general offensive. The Democratic Party continued to counterattack until the next day, including filing a complaint against Rep. Kim to the Ethics Committee, but the people's response was almost helpless. Rep. Kim confessed in a phone call with a press, saying, "I couldn't confirm the authenticity of the photo." Rep. Kim's remarks toward the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "It is not appropriate to cover the whole with a single photo and mislead the people," sounded like an acknowledgment of defeat in effect. Even within the opposition, there were evaluations of 'own goal'.

With the new testimony of Ms. Park, a member of the gang, the case is moving toward a game of truth, but at this point, the opposition's decision seems to be an undeniable fact. Considering that hearings and state audits are to a large extent a battle of momentum, the lead was completely broken and the initiative was given up. Daejang-dong, the governor of Daejang-dong, who the opposition party was so ignorant of, could not avoid being evaluated as a 'major-tang'. Park said, "I took the money I was asked to deliver and uploaded it to show off," but the consistency of the statement has already been shaken once. Whatever new evidence and testimonies emerge, the defense has become much easier for the Democrats. Some say that the Democrats are preparing for another counterattack.

Rep. Kim Yong-pan, who posted a picture of a bundle of money on the Chief of the National Assembly, was also criticized for neglecting to check the facts.

The photo presented by Rep. Han Byung-do of the Democratic Party was still posted on the SNS until the day after the National Assembly.

In the photo, various business cards, including a rental car business card, are also photographed.

It was a picture that was enough to guess its purpose.

Rep. Kim's remarks that "the authenticity of the photo could not be confirmed" was rectified as "a story that was told before new testimony came out", but even if the opposition party catches decisive evidence, the credibility of it has been questioned.

In the office of Rep. Kim Yong-pan, who actually raised the suspicion, there is a truism that says, "Even if you believe, check it."

It's like the motto of Rep. Kim, who has been a police officer for over 20 years, and it's a picture frame that has been hanging for a long time.

The fact that the people's power trusted Rep. Kim and took on the role of a striker may have been influenced by considering his history as the second-in-command of the police, the chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

It is still too early to make a conclusion, but his 'self-proclaimed goal' shown in the chief of state was to overshadow that practice.

You don't know if you didn't confirm it because you didn't believe it yourself, or if your belief was too much and the confirmation wasn't enough.
