Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom said today (22nd), "(Corona 19) quarantine easing measures will be taken boldly and aggressively, starting with industries that have suffered a lot or the marginalized, and facilities with a low risk of spreading the infection."

In the remarks of the Daily Restoration Support Committee chaired at the government complex in Seoul today, Prime Minister Kim said, "The restoration of daily life will be carried out systematically by dividing the period into several stages."

Prime Minister Kim said, "The number of confirmed cases should still be taken into account, but we will consider indicators such as aggravation rate and mortality rate more heavily and change the medical response system accordingly."

Prime Minister Kim emphasized that "in the early stage of recovery, quarantine standards should be relaxed, focusing on those who have completed vaccination."

He added that if there is a need to introduce a 'vaccination certificate/negative confirmation system' called a 'vaccine pass', the system should be designed and operated in consideration of the circumstances of those who are not vaccinated or those who have difficulty getting vaccinated due to health reasons.

Prime Minister Kim emphasized that "autonomy and responsibility" quarantine should be further strengthened.

Based on the results of today's committee discussions, the government is expected to present a detailed step-by-step recovery plan next week.
