The mask will no longer be compulsory in the courtyards of the Madrid schools as of next Monday.
The regional government has adopted this decision in light of the decline in infections from Covid-19, as announced by the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, this Thursday in the Vallecas Assembly.
According to data from the Ministry of Education, the number of students in quarantine today is 10 times less than a year ago.
"The decrease in data reflects the success of vaccination and hygienic-sanitary measures against the coronavirus," they underline.
