October 21, 2021: Voronezh authorities have announced that the cemeteries in the city are working to the limit due to the increase in deaths due to the coronavirus.
This is a collapse, both for cemetery staff and organizational and technical skills due to the surge in deaths of patients infected with COVID-19. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the regional government.
If before in the city there were an average of 700 burials per month, since July 2021 more than a thousand burials have been carried out every month. At the same time, 1,070 burials had already been recorded in October, of which 282 in the first five days of the month alone.
In Russia, 36,339 new cases of coronavirus have recently been identified, the negative record of the entire pandemic, of which 709 in the Voronezh region.
The total number of people infected during the pandemic was 8,131,164.
