Where a lack of trust in the state and its corona (non) measures, which are perceived as a propaganda show, can currently be seen in Russia. Because citizens mistrust their own Sputnik vaccine due to the maximum lack of transparency in medical approval, only a third of the population is vaccinated. However, the virus was also able to spread rapidly because of the disregard of the protective rules. Now the death toll is reaching new highs every day. The fact that Russia's ruler Putin is now ordering his subjects to take compulsory leave at home shows how helpless they are in the face of an opponent who cannot be defeated with lies and whitewashing.

In Germany, too, the number of infections is rising again significantly, albeit far less quickly than in Russia. And in this country, a vaccination quota of at least 66 percent of the total population prevents at least an overload of the health system, as can be observed in Russia or Romania. Health Minister Jens Spahn is right when he therefore strives for the end of the “epidemic situation of national scope” established by the Bundestag in March 2020, which has since provided the legal basis for central corona measures.

The fact that prime ministers, above all Markus Söder as always, are continuing to push for a uniform legal basis for corona protective measures, shows the popularity of governing that has grown in the pandemic.

It is window dressing when the countries now complain that they would not be able to react in the event of a crisis without centralized regulation.

All they have to do is have their parliaments, annoyingly, democratically deliberate and decide on measures.

It remains to be seen whether, with the still too high number of non-vaccinated people, the longed-for “Freedom Day” will soon take place, as in vaccinated Denmark without a mask requirement and the 3-G rule.

In the UK, in the face of stagnating vaccination and the dramatic increase in corona numbers, medical associations are already calling for a “plan B”: freedom for many things in life only with proof of vaccination.
