Recently, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom declined the title of "Old Man of the Year" a few days ago, saying that she did not meet the "relevant standards."

It is reported that the British "Old Man" magazine published a letter from the Queen’s assistant on the 19th, stating the reason for the Queen’s rejection of this honor.

The letter said that the queen believes that the mentality determines a person's age, and therefore believes that she does not meet the "relevant criteria" for accepting this title, and hopes that the selection agency can find a better candidate.

The "Old Man" magazine has selected the "Old Man of the Year" every year for the past 29 years, commending the elderly for their contributions to public life.

Previous "Old Man of the Year" are mostly famous British figures, including former Prime Minister John Major and painter David Hockney.

The Queen's mother also received this honor during her lifetime.

However, the Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, declined the title of "Old Man of the Year" during his lifetime.

Elizabeth II is 95 years old and is the longest-lived and longest reigning monarch in Britain.
