The arrest of a young man with dangerous driving was eventful, this Tuesday at the end of the morning in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).

On a scooter, the man was traveling on one wheel, without a helmet, on the avenue de la République tram track, reports France Bleu Pays d'Auvergne.

ATV police officers then decided to arrest this rodeo enthusiast, who had just run several red lights.

But at the sight of the police, the driver of the scooter fled.

He would have deliberately rushed towards the police who were trying to block his path.

A policeman dragged several meters

One of the mountain bikers had the reflex to hang on to the two-wheeler, but he was dragged several meters before the driver, already known to the police, was arrested.

Wounded in the arm, the police officer must undergo a medical examination during which the severity of the injury will be estimated.

"These two-wheeled rodeos are a real danger for the population and for the police who must intervene more and more in the face of a scourge which is only spreading", lamented to our colleagues a union representative of the police of the department.

Thursday, October 14, an octogenarian died after being hit by a motorcycle during an urban rodeo.
