“I am absolutely convinced that Belarus should be a presidential republic if we want to save the country,” BelTA quoted Lukashenko at a meeting with a working group on finalizing the draft of the country's new Constitution.

He added that the development should be carried out taking into account the constructive opinions of Belarusian citizens, and not with an eye on the fugitive opposition.

“We will hear them, whether we want it or not, but we will respond to every sneeze from outside our country of people who today work off the money of Americans, Germans and others, sitting in Poland or Lithuania, - then we will stop working and take care of our own people, and we will not resolve a single issue - neither COVID-19, nor sanctions, ”the Belarusian leader noted.

Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko did not rule out that new protests will take place in Belarus before the referendum on the Constitution, which is scheduled for February.
