The termination without notice by Jürgen Richter, the former head of the Frankfurter Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO), is legally binding.

As the AWO reports, this is an important step in coming to terms with the scandal surrounding the association's former management team.

Richter had approved lavish salaries and expensive company cars for himself and a tight circle at the head of the AWO for years.

After the scandal became public, the AWO Richter resigned without notice.

Richter had then tried in several instances to take action against it.

Before the Federal Labor Court he finally failed with a non-admission complaint.

The state labor court had already confirmed the dismissal;

the massive violations of Richter's contractual obligations were therefore sufficient to terminate him without notice and without severance pay.

With the decision, all of Richter's claims from what, according to the new AWO leadership, were “financially completely excessive termination agreement” failed, the content of which he himself had significantly influenced.
