On the 30th day of the trial of the November 13 attacks, after listening to the victims and survivors of the attacks, the court heard on Thursday the testimonies of relatives of deceased people.

Brothers, wives, parents… Several fathers who lost their child in Bataclan told about these traumas.

At the helm of the special assize court, Thursday, the time was not for the investigation of the murderous commando of the attacks of November 13, nor for the precise course of this macabre evening in the heart of Paris.

On the 30th day of the trial of the attacks, it was the relatives of those who died under the bullets of terrorists, nearly six years ago, who took the floor.

It must be said: these testimonies tore the hearts of everyone in the courtroom.

These vaulted men carry mourning for their child on their shoulders, literally.

"For parents, this is the worst part," François immediately announces.

Her son died at the Bataclan at the age of 38.

Like Anne, Jean's daughter, and Hugo, 23, Stéphane's son.

All three first experienced the anguish of hours of research "between hope, a powerful poison, and despair," says Stéphane.

And then the terrible news.

“Something broke physically inside me,” he recalls.

"If I become a monster, Daesh will have won"

The body of their child must then be recognized at the Forensic Institute.

"It was no longer my daughter, her spirit had flown. A face so sad, she who was solar," describes Jean, his voice choked with grief.

There begins "an unspeakable pain which will never leave us", he confides.

And then each one tells the life according to: "To advance while dreading family celebrations, fathers, mothers. I lost that evening my son, my friend, my parcel of eternity. But I did not have no hatred. If I become a monster, Daesh will have won, "concludes Stéphane, who stood up at the helm, like all these fathers, of incredible dignity.
