A 47-year-old cyclist attacked two police officers who wanted to control him this Wednesday afternoon in Anglet (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).
The individual was driving at a high speed on the promenade Victor-Mendiboure, prohibited for bicycles.
He attacked members of the police, biting one of them and causing him an ankle injury, reports

The victim was taken care of by firefighters and driven to the Basque Coast hospital in Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).
He was subject to a 20-day temporary work interruption (ITT).
During the assault, the two municipal police officers using a Segway had difficulty controlling the cyclist.
They eventually received assistance from a gendarme present at the scene, but who was not on duty.
A first complaint
The two police officers filed a complaint against the individual.
The city of Anglet is also studying the possibility of a complaint.
The town could also become a civil party "if it can help the two municipal police officers attacked," said Mayor Claude Olive (LR).
The cyclist was arrested and taken into custody.
He was to be presented to justice the day after the events.
