It was his attitude that alerted the police.

Thursday, at the end of the afternoon, in the city center of Strasbourg, more precisely rue du Fossé des Tanneurs, a man was checked by a crew of the Police canine unit during a patrol.

Drunk, the individual hid in a stroller, under a blanket, puppies barely five days old, unweaned, not monitored by a veterinary service and showing signs of abuse.

He intended to sell them on the sly.

Arrested in the wake, he was immediately taken into custody.

During further investigations, it was also discovered that the man was already known to the police and gendarmerie and even wanted for different crimes committed in two other departments.

He is the subject of proceedings for an act of cruelty to animals and will later be brought to justice.

In the meantime, he has also been imprisoned, on one of the cases for which he was wanted.
