Recently, a patient who underwent an MRI examination at the Gimhae General Hospital in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, was caught by a metal oxygen cylinder that suddenly flew into the examination equipment and died.

The police believed that this was because the MRI equipment generated a strong magnetic field during its work, causing the oxygen cylinder placed aside to be sucked in suddenly.

Medical personnel pointed out: "The accident was a low-level and rare accident that occurred due to failure to comply with the basic safety regulations that metal products cannot be placed in the MRI room." Related matters are currently under further processing.
