According to Novak, as a result of both the rise in prices and the reduction in the overall production of fertilizers, there are risks of a new round of growth in prices for agricultural products.

“Problems are already arising in the production of food products, especially in the greenhouse sector, where the high rise in prices does not allow to have an economy of vegetable production,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

He stressed that there are risks of rising prices for greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers as well.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the government's measures to curb food prices were effective, but an additional set of solutions is needed to stabilize the situation in the long term.
