National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee has been conducting a state inspection of Gyeonggi-do from 10 am.

Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate for the Democratic Party, appeared in person today, following the National Inspection of the Public Administration and Safety Committee the day before (18th).

The opposition parties clashed fiercely over the suspicion of preferential treatment for the development of Daejang-dong.

People's Power said that he did not meet the qualifications at the time of his appointment as former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation planning director Yoo Dong-gyu, who was arrested, and asked if there was any illegality in the personnel process.

Justice Party lawmaker Shim Sang-jeong also argued for the responsibility of the governor, saying that the people felt deprived of a certain minority who took 1,000 times or more profits in the process of developing Daejang-dong.

In response, Governor Lee replied that he did not remember exactly the appointment of former general manager Yoo, but that there was no illegality in the personnel process.

He also apologized for the feeling of alienation of the people, but he countered that if he hadn't recovered his development profits, he would have become a '50 billion club' rather than a '5 billion club'.

The governor said the Daejang-dong project was a good example of successfully recovering development profits, and repeatedly insisted on eradicating civil corruption and corruption in the future.

Prior to the question, the People's Power pointed out that Governor Lee and Gyeonggi Province did not submit sufficient data for the audit, and the Democratic Party refuted that the data request was at the level of inspections.
