“The Caspian Pipeline Consortium cannot agree with Rosprirodnadzor's assessment of the amount of damage from the consequences of the incident,” the CPC said in a statement.
The company has not yet received an official notification or any other document from Rosprirodnadzor with the indicated amount.
“After receiving official notification, he will appeal the assessment in court,” RIA Novosti quoted KTK as saying.
On August 7, outside the coastal zone in the Black Sea near Novorossiysk, crude oil was released from the Greek tanker Minerva Symphony.
The CPC press service said that the reason for the release of oil during the loading of the tanker was the destruction of the internal cavity of the hydraulic compensator of the outboard mooring device.
The Prosecutor General's Office took control of the spill case.
