According to reports, at about 11:30 am local time on the 20th, a ship sailing near the incident reported by radio alarm that they had found a ship in the Sea of Japan about 200 kilometers north of Oki Island in Shimane Prefecture, Japan. A fishing boat that has capsized.
After receiving the alarm, the Ministry of Maritime Security immediately dispatched a plane to the sea area where the incident occurred and confirmed that a South Korean fishing boat had capsized.
According to the report, there were originally nine crew members on the fishing boat, all of which were Korean nationals.
