The exhibition, in the 23rd edition, which was organized at Expo Center Sharjah, from October 19 to 21, witnessed a huge turnout of citizens looking for work, and a number of government and private agencies participated in the exhibition.

In detail, the female citizens: Mira Muhammad, Maryam Abdullah, and Jawaher Ahmed, who obtained high school, told «Emirates Today»: "We visited the employment fair to learn about the job vacancies offered by the participating entities in the exhibition, especially the government, and we submitted job applications attached to the CV in Most of the participating parties.

They affirmed that they are looking for work to "contribute to supporting their families and alleviating the financial burdens on their shoulders, especially after the negative repercussions of the (Corona) pandemic on families' income, and they do not mind that the salary be 5000 dirhams as a minimum."

They added that they submitted their CVs to a government agency during the exhibition, and informed them that the work period would be six months, stressing that they did not mind that the work period be limited, because this work would gain them experience that would qualify them for jobs with greater advantages.

Youssef Abdel Rahman, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, stated that he submitted a request for employment to many of the parties participating in the exhibition, pointing out that a small number of the parties participating in the exhibition conduct interviews for job seekers, while most of these parties direct young people visiting the exhibition to register their data electronically, And they have to wait for her to contact the chosen one later.

Saeed Mahmoud and Salem Ibrahim said that they obtained the “high school” three years ago, and finished their military service, and their journey began to search for work two years ago, adding that the “Corona” pandemic affected their communication with employers directly, and then it was the only way It is the search for work through the websites of government and private agencies, to no avail.

They added that they found in the National Employment Fair an opportunity to meet with officials of government agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah, to learn about the vacancies available to them.

For its part, the Department of Human Resources in Sharjah provides job-seeking visitors to the exhibition a number of services, including receiving job-seekers’ requests through the online registration service, responding to all inquiries, and providing professional advice on current and future labor market requirements. An employee at Dubai Islamic Bank, who preferred not to be named, said: “During the first and second days of the exhibition, we received more than 1,200 CVs from young Emirati job seekers who visited the exhibition,” adding that job applications submitted by graduates would be classified, and identified.
