A shocking video has been released in Brazil, where the number of people living in poverty is rapidly increasing due to a recent surge in prices and an increase in unemployment.

A group of men and women are almost entangled in a garbage truck that is stopped on the road in front of the supermarket, looking through the garbage.

They are looking for discarded food.

Environmental sanitation workers who collect garbage do what they do as if they are used to this kind of thing.

This video was filmed on the 28th of last month in the city of Fortaleza, northeast of Brazil.

The taxi driver who filmed the video said, "It's a sad scene that can be easily seen here."

An employee of a nearby supermarket also said, 'Since the Corona 19 crisis, it has become a daily thing to look for garbage.'

According to Brazilian government data, it is estimated that there are currently 19 million people nationwide who find it difficult to afford one meal a day.

It is said that the number nearly doubled from 10 million two years ago.
