Hacking is not just coding, it can also be about physically entering a building to gain access to the network.

It is called social manipulation.

- It could be that you seek out the receptionist or customer service.

Both sit there to help visitors and customers, and they can not always question everything that comes, says Ann-Marie Eklund Löwinder, security expert at the Internet Foundation, in the series Hacked.

The hacker: "Had all the power"

In an experiment, SVT commissions four hackers to hack the housing company Helsingborgshem, with the approval of the company's IT manager Rickard Mauritsson.

They fail to use social manipulation but find another way in and then manage to hack the company.

- I am interested regardless of the result, because it can give me answers that mean I can put a new strategy, Richard Mauritsson explains in the series.

They get access to the port codes for all properties managed by Helsingborgshem, and can also manipulate the housing queue (which they then restored).

- We had all the power to do what we wanted in there and it is quite serious, says the hacker Jinny Ramsmark afterwards.
