Rostelecom recorded an increase in the number of DDoS attacks on Russian companies

“For three quarters of 2021, the number of DDoS attacks on Russian companies increased 2.5 times compared to the same period last year,” the company said.

It is noted that cybercriminals mainly carried out DDoS attacks on financial institutions, the public sector and the online trade.

In September, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered an investigation into cyber attacks from abroad on online voting systems.
