19 October 2021 The European Union has established that each member country must achieve 87.3% recycling of packaging (paper and cardboard) this by 2030, Italy last year made a virtuous leap reaching 85. %, almost close to the target set by the EU, but 15 years in advance.

Data from the annual report of the National Union of waste recovery and recycling companies (Unirima).



In the months of closure due to the Coronavirus, a decrease - as in the report - of the paper used for the publishing sector, an increase instead, of the cardboard especially the corrugated one used mainly for e-commerce shipments, which during the Covid have had a vertical expansion.
