The Dubai Police General Command has revealed an advanced device to monitor specialized pedestrian crossings that can seize vehicles that are not committed to giving priority to pedestrians in the locations designated for their crossing, in addition to monitoring violations of not wearing a seat belt and being busy using a mobile phone while driving.

She stated that the pedestrian crossings monitoring device is part of the future strategic plans of Dubai Police, which focuses on its work system to achieve the highest levels of traffic safety for drivers, passengers and pedestrians, thus enhancing the level of safety in traffic regulations and laws, and making roads safer.

The device works with a solar energy system, and is equipped with sensors that can recognize pedestrian traffic on both sides of the road, monitor vehicles by videotaping them to prove the condition, and give a red light signal to warn vehicle drivers of the need to stop and give priority to pedestrians to cross, and in the event the driver does not commit to stopping. At the crossing, the device scans the vehicle, and a violation of not giving way to pedestrians against the driver is issued.

Dubai Police, through its GITEX platform, presented a live experience of the device while monitoring violations of mobile phone use while driving, with a fine of 800 dirhams and four black points, in addition to not wearing a seat belt and a fine of 400 dirhams, and four black points, and the device inserts the violation directly into the system to be sent to the offending driver. .

In addition, the Dubai Police presented the Aston Martin Vantage, which is powered by an eight-cylinder engine and equipped with a twin turbocharger with a capacity of 4.0 liters, and a power of 510 hp / 625 Nm, and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, with a maximum speed It reaches 314 kilometers per hour, and accelerates from rest to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds.
