Naftogaz, as a national company, has applied for participation in the certification process of the Nord Stream 2 operator before the German regulator, the Federal Agency of German Grids, "Vitrenko quoted Interfax-Ukraine as saying.
The head of Naftogaz also noted that the assessment of the decision on the certification of the gas pipeline could take up to four months from the European Commission.
The construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was fully completed on 10 September.
Earlier, the first string of Nord Stream 2 was filled with technical gas.
