The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center has announced the launch of the "Space Projects" initiative, to serve as a leading platform for startups in the space sector in the region and around the world.

The initiative will enable emerging companies in the sector to establish long-term partnerships and extended cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, allowing them to obtain the necessary support for their sustainable growth in the future, and to benefit from the advanced technology and laboratories owned by the center, in addition to facilitating communication with bodies and institutions from all over the world. world, with the aim of achieving growth and sustainability for its projects.

The initiative stems from the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to focus on innovation, research, science and technology, with the aim of building strong foundations for a sustainable and knowledge-based economy, and at the same time being a competitive economy based on knowledge. A global level, which is the goal that the "Space Projects" initiative seeks to achieve, by enhancing the innovation environment in the UAE and the region, by creating a new market for companies related to the space sector.

The new initiative targets all types of companies based in the UAE, from small-sized companies with ambitious ideas, to large companies that want to expand their reach and scope of work from the UAE, which has an active and pioneering space sector.

Through the initiative, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center seeks to build strong partnerships in the areas of primary products in the space sector, which include communications systems, data storage and processing, the Internet of things, and final products that include the manufacture and launch of satellites, robots, equipment and software related to the space sector, In addition to many other products.

To achieve the goals of the "Space Projects" initiative, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center has entered into partnerships with leading business incubators and accelerators in the UAE and the region, to provide all forms and means of support, and to advance the activities of emerging and promising companies in the space sector.

"We seek to cooperate with ambitious companies that focus on pioneering trends in the space sector, such as primary and final products needed for space missions, in addition to space exploration and science, which adds more momentum to the space sector in the UAE," said Yousef Hamad Al Shaibani, the center's director general.
