The UN's alarm about climate refugees causes Africa to make demands on the West

Long periods of drought and rising sea levels could force millions of Africans to flee to other areas.

According to a report by the IPCC, 1.3 billion people live in countries where climate change may force them to become climate refugees.

30 of the countries at risk are located in sub-Saharan Africa.
