“The United States strongly condemns the decision of the Cuban regime to deny permission to hold peaceful protests on 15 November.

The mayor of Old Havana, Alexis Acosta Silva, had previously rejected a proposal by the organizer of the protest march to hold it on November 15, calling it a constitutional and destabilizing event.
