Prime Minister Kishida, who is inspecting the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station of Tokyo Electric Power Company and was briefed on the status of decommissioning work.

Prime Minister Kishida, who visited Iwate and Miyagi on the 16th to inspect the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, entered Fukushima on the 17th and visited the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in the morning.



Prime Minister Kishida was on a hill overlooking Units 1 to 4, and received an explanation from Akira Ono, the representative of the Fukushima Daiichi Decommissioning Promotion Company, about the status of decommissioning work and the components of treated water.



Then, Prime Minister Kishida said, "Decommissioning is a prerequisite for reconstruction, so I would like you to cherish the relationship of trust with the locals and proceed with the work firmly."



After that, I moved to Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, visited the memorial monument of the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake, turned the flowers to the flower stand and offered silence, and mourned the dead.



In the afternoon, Prime Minister Kishida will exchange opinions with the residents in a wheelchair about efforts for reconstruction in Tomioka Town.
