Climate Week is organized by the Climate Council, and has been arranged in Jönköping County since 2014. The Climate Council is a collaborative organization consisting of organizations, companies, authorities and municipalities from all over Jönköping County.
This year's theme is food and climate, and all the county's municipalities are involved and participating.
This can be, for example, by arranging various lectures or by serving climate-smart food in schools and in nursing homes.
- Food is a topic that affects just about everyone.
And then we want to pay attention both to reducing the waste in what we throw away from our plates, but also to waste in other parts of the food chain, says Helena Jonsson.
Digital activities
Climate week will largely take place digitally.
The climate conference on Friday, where this year's climate prize will be awarded, will also be held digitally.
But there are also physical activities that can be signed up for.
Sustainability week
In connection with the climate week, Habo municipality, among others, is organizing a sustainability week, where the focus will be on the sustainable lifestyle.
Also during the sustainability week, several activities and lectures will be arranged.
