The Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick won Sunday the Masters of Andalusia, his 7th tournament on the European circuit, and the French Romain Langasque, at the forefront all weekend, finally finished 12th on the course of Valderrama.

Fitzpatrick, the 28th player in the world, was the best ranked of the 67 players who qualified on Friday night, after the astonishing elimination (missed cut) of the world number 1, the Spaniard Jon Rahm.

He started with 15 holes in the par, then he brought in two birdies at 16 and 17, and secured another par at 18 to finish six strokes under par, three strokes ahead of his immediate pursuers.

Langasque, leader Friday night, fell in one day from 4th to 12th place tied, because of a card of 72 on top of his 73 on Saturday.

It's better than Julien Guerrier, leader Thursday night but then author of three laps in 73 which relegated him to 25th place.
