17 October 2021 Tragic accident in Castellanza (Varese): a 14-year-old boy died in the afternoon after falling into a purification tank.
The boy was recovered by divers from the fire brigade and was taken to the hospital in Legnano, where he died shortly after arriving in the emergency room.
It looks like the boy fell into the tub trying to retrieve a ball.
The 14-year-old was already in cardiac arrest by the time he was recovered and en route workers attempted to resuscitate him.
The Carabinieri also intervened on the spot.
