An upgrade of about 20 TV channels in the terrestrial network that is received through a standard TV antenna is currently underway.

The first stage, which includes Stockholm, Uppland, Gävle and Norrköping, has already been completed.

- It has gone well, the work went as expected, it was a smooth transfer, says Beatric Lorentzon, communicator at Teracom.

In Dalarna, starting in western Dalarna and Norrland, the changeover will begin on 19 October.

New equipment may be needed

In addition to the fact that more channels will be able to be seen in better resolution, HD, the upgrade also means that all SVT's channels, as well as TV4 and channel 5, will switch completely to HD broadcasts.

The HD quality means that you may need new equipment to be able to receive the signals.

Regardless of whether you have new or old equipment, you may need to do a channel search to see the channels again.
