 His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, stressed that "Expo 2020 Dubai" gains its importance from a comprehensiveness that gives it great uniqueness as a global event that brings together under one roof important features of the peoples' past, history and human heritage with all its diversity on the one hand, The world’s aspirations and ambitions for the future and the innovations, inventions and ideas prepared for it by its various countries will ensure for future generations a decent life and prosperity on the other hand, in a rare mixture that allows for greater rapprochement between the peoples of the world and building new bridges of communication among them on the basis of full knowledge of all the elements that characterize their societies .

His Highness praised the distinguished African presence in the global gathering, which includes 192 countries, as the African participation highlights the great development witnessed by most of the countries of the continent at the various economic, social and technical levels, at a time when Africa seeks to create a new reality that transcends the challenges of the past, and opens with it. A new page in which modern technologies are employed to increase the utilization of its rich natural resources and to reserve an advanced position in the global progress.

This came during his visit to the headquarters of "Expo 2020 Dubai", accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where His Highness and his companions were received by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Expo 2020 Dubai office.

The visit included two African pavilions participating in the global event, which includes the participation of 192 countries in addition to a large number of international organizations, bodies and institutions, which makes the Dubai Expo, with its being held for the first time in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, the largest event in terms of participation in the history of the exhibition The world, which dates back to the first time in 1851.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai visited the Ivory Coast pavilion located in the "mobility area" of the Expo, where His Highness was briefed on the components of the pavilion through which the West African country seeks to introduce important features of its economic and cultural renaissance through the largest global gathering the world has witnessed since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis The pavilion, with its design inspired by the African environment and culture, reflects the aspirations of the Ivory Coast for the future under the slogan chosen for its pavilion, which is "The Road to the New Africa".

The pavilion deals with the story of the development that Ivory Coast has undergone since independence and its transition from a society that depends mainly on agricultural activity, which is still an important part of building its economic structure, to diversifying the economy and expanding industrial activities, while the pavilion presents the investment opportunities available in Ivory Coast. In light of the expansion of many future projects within various sectors, including renewable energy, information technology, infrastructure and others, the pavilion did not neglect to highlight the cultural heritage of the people of Côte d'Ivoire, their customs and traditions, in line with the objectives of Expo 2020 Dubai in terms of achieving cultural and human rapprochement between peoples.

 His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also visited the pavilion of the State of Rwanda, which is inspired by its history and located in the "Opportunity Zone". The pavilion was designed to express this journey through the different stages of the day, starting with dusk and then the darkness of the night, which reflects the horrors of the war that Rwanda experienced in 1994, and then the light of dawn, marking the birth of a new era full of hope, followed by the day with all its diligence and work. for better life.  

The Rwanda Pavilion was inspired by its history, which it has taken as a basis for its development, while presenting the choices by which the people of Rwanda continue their path of development, with a focus on certain axes, most notably the preservation of the rich environment that characterizes the country located in the center of Africa, famous for its tropical forests and the diversity of its natural environment, in addition to the development of the sector. Tourism while taking advantage of the natural attractions spread throughout it, in addition to encouraging investments and "green economy" activities.
