“Welcome to the heart-shaped country that participates in (Expo 2020 Dubai) for the love of humanity.” With these words, Bosnia and Herzegovina defines itself in its pavilion in the Opportunity Area at Expo 2020 Dubai.

In Bosnia - which is located in southeastern Europe, the meeting point of East and West - different cultures meet to produce a rich history, despite the fact that it is a young country, as it gained its independence from the former Yugoslavia in 1992.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Pavilion takes visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai on an exciting journey through the terrain and geography of the country, which is filled with picturesque mountains, lush forests, lakes and tranquil rivers.

Guests of the exhibition can see many pictures of Bosnia's landmarks in the pavilion, including the summit of Mount Maglic, which is about 2,836 meters high, and they can enjoy sitting in front of the Bosnia River, and imagine the water flowing in one of the longest rivers of that country, as well as swimming in the Kokiviko and Buraco lakes. , and Modrako, in addition to Lake Bosko, which is the largest artificial lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since the Ottoman Empire, it has been one of the most prosperous cities, earning the nickname "European Jerusalem" because Christians, Muslims and Jews continued to live there together in harmony.

The Bosnian Pavilion shows the features of Sarajevo, being the place where civilizations intertwine. In the east there is the Ottoman Sarajevo with its eastern landmarks, and on the west side you can see the Austro-Hungarian architecture.

The pavilion takes visitors into the diverse terrain of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is home to many natural resources, in a country where a welcoming people live alongside panoramic mountains, medieval castle ruins, and waterfalls. And Herzegovina with its Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian history.
