Students discovered an oil spill at the crash site of the steamship "Admiral Nakhimov"

Students Daria Kozlova, Anton Chaika and Gleb Koval, members of the RISKSAT interregional project team, discovered the oil spill by analyzing satellite images.

"Spots up to 10 km long are located in the area of ​​the exit from the Novorossiysk Bay, where the passenger steamer Admiral Nakhimov, which sank on August 31, 1986, rests at a depth of 47 meters," the statement said.

The conclusions of the young scientists were confirmed by an expert from the Institute of Oceanology named after V.I.
