Nancy student suspected of rape admits other assaults

A film student, unknown to the police, was arrested in Nancy on suspicion of rape.

During the investigation, the young man of 23 years would have admitted "to have also attacked four or five women", reports

.

Two of them have already been identified for these sexual assaults.

But he is suspected of being involved in at least one case of rape and other sexual assault.

The young man was arrested after the rape of a young woman of 20, at night and in the street, under the threat of a knife.

A few hours later, "a person went to the police station to report that a friend had confided in him having raped girls," said prosecutor François Pérain.

It was by making the link between these two cases that the police traced the trail leading to the suspect.

The student was incarcerated.
