The conference disclosed that in 2020, the output value of China's geographic information industry was 689 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%.
Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, the scale of China's geographic information industry has continued to expand, with a compound growth rate of 13.9% in total output value.
Xu Guanhua, former minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the conference and gave a keynote speech pointing out the direction and path of enterprise transformation and upgrading and high-quality industrial development.
He said, first, we must vigorously promote the entrepreneurial spirit, and strive to promote the transformation of enterprises from quantitative to high-quality.
Second, we must adapt to the changes of the times, adjust corporate development strategies in a timely manner, and create a benign industrial ecological chain.
Third, we must make full use of the capital market, increase investment in scientific and technological innovation, and win the capital of innovation and development.

The "2021 China Geographic Information Industry Conference" is hosted by China Geographic Information Industry Association, under the guidance of the People's Government of Hubei Province, and co-organized by the Hubei Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Wuhan University.
