- Someone had to sacrifice and go in and I did.
It was very cold, the worst was when I discovered that I would have to swim, she says.
Carried by load and quad bike
Jeanette managed to thread a lasso around the moose's head.
It was then possible to transport the moose ashore by quad bike.
- It went better than I thought.
I thought it would be so cold I could not think.
The head was easy to lift into the water.
Once the moose and Jeanette were out of the four-degree water, they changed their clothes and took care of the meat.
- This will be something to remember.
I told the shooter that I hope to get the elk fillet as a thank you, says Jeanette.
