15 October 2021 The people no Green pass takes to the streets throughout Italy on the first day of the obligation in companies without however blocking the country. Few inconveniences even in the port cities where the demonstrators tried to block the accesses, without however stopping the activities.

However, the alert remains high in particular for road

transport

, one of the most delicate sectors for our country, given that over 80% of goods travel by road. According to the main associations, at least 25% of Italian companies' trucks have already been forced to stop since Friday to make way for foreigners, exempted from the obligation. The situation could get worse on Monday, when trucks and trucks return to Italian roads.

The day saw many people taking to the streets in Genoa and Ancona in solidarity with the

port

of Trieste, as well as in cities not facing the sea, from Florence to Bologna, from Udine to Turin, from Bolzano to Trento.

The much-feared inconveniences in

local public transport

did not materialize as well as the blocks of roads and highways threatened by road hauliers via social networks. To unite the squares, the choirs 'Freedom, freedom' and those against the Green pass; in some cases from the crowd shouted against Prime Minister Mario Draghi and many waved the flag.

There was no lack of comparisons between the obligation of the Green pass and the Shoah, as in Pesaro where the demonstrators unrolled a banner with the words "It didn't start with the gas chambers. It began with politicians who divided people into 'us' it's them ". In Trento, however, flyers of Fiom and CGIL were covered with swastikas.

The most serious episode in Bologna where, in addition to having defined the obligation of certification "a fascism 2.0", one of the promoters turned against Senator

Liliana Segre

, accused of betraying her history and her past for her support to the Green pass.

However, there have been episodes of protest by citizens as in Cagliari where

buckets of water

were thrown from a building

on the demonstrators; in Milan, instead, the demonstrators at the Arco della Pace lashed out at some participants who were distributing a leaflet with the inscription "the defense of the homeland is a sacred duty of the citizen".

Genoa: tensions, but Liguria holds

Liguria has passed without too many problems the first day in which it was compulsory to go to work with a Green Pass. The large number of people vaccinated in the region (1,029,801 out of a total population of approximately 1,500,000) and the many swabs made in extremis have avoided problems for public and private activities. Local public transport services, especially buses, were regular in Genoa and in the provincial capitals, with an announced reduction of 10% of metro rides in Genoa. The Amt company has 80 employees out of 2,727 without a 'Green Certificate'.

On the other hand, there were tensions especially at the port of Genoa, with the blocking of some gates by groups that contest the Green pass, but the general operation of the first Italian port passed the exam. More serious problems were instead created in the Genoese viability by the traffic blocks implemented by the 'no vax' who demonstrated in front of the Prefecture and then went to stop the cars at the Sopraelevata, the main artery connecting the Ponente and the Center, and on Lungomare Canepa, where there are port accesses.

The international gate of San Benigno and the Ferry Terminal where the demonstrators let people pass but not goods were blocked by the protests. The operation of the port was not compromised also due to the low number of ships arriving. At the Psa di Prà terminal, the most important, there were 7 out of about 200 workers who did not stamp the card.

Instead, regulate the activity in the other two Ligurian airports. No slowdowns or problems at the entrance gates of the port of La Spezia where there are only a few employees without a certificate. No problem even at the turnstiles of the Muggiano di Fincantieri construction site, where direct and related employees were checked one by one. No discomfort in Savona.

Even the protest in front of the Prefecture has shown numbers below expectations with less than 100 workers. In Imperia, a group of firefighters from the provincial command organized a garrison in front of the barracks, unable to enter because they did not have a Green pass due to collapsing pharmacies.

Trieste: protests, but no blockade

Trieste was the 'sea' outpost of the no Green pass on the day when the certificate became mandatory for workers, even if the tone of the protest faded into the night. After the perplexities on the announced block by some members of the autonomous union that promoted it, the spokesman Stefano Puzzer announced at dawn that freedom of access to the gates would be left. The numbers of the day tell of at least seven thousand participants in the demonstration between those who went on strike and solidarity citizens, while they say less about those who have decided not to work.

Gate 4, the epicenter of the protest, will also be manned during the night by some volunteers after it has been noisy and festive space for many hours, except for some insult to journalists and the badly 'expulsion' of a small group of right-wingers radical, of the dissent of the no pass.

The composition of the block contrary to the pass is

very

heterogeneous.

They came from all over the Veneto region, even with the banners of independence, to stand beside the workers in yellow and orange bibs, but also from other regions. Sandwiches, beers and music for everyone, apparently a day of celebration under a clear sky and with a 'docile' bora.

In a note, the territorial secretariats of Trieste of Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uil Trasporti and Ugl Mare asked to resume "full operation of the port as soon as possible".

Abruzzo: everything in order

The 'no Green pass' activists have started a new form of protest, wearing a tricolor band on the left arm to give a "signal of presence and constant vigilance". "In obedience to the constitution, peacefully, we continue to express our dissent against vaccine blackmail, against all forms of limitation of fundamental freedoms and against any discriminatory, irresponsible and careless action towards minors".

Calabria: no blockade in the port of Gioia Tauro

There were no blocks of activities or particular problems in Gioia Tauro, the largest Italian import and export airport, observed special in Calabria on the day of entry into force of the Green pass obligation in the workplace. Between the first shift, which started at 1:00 am and ended at 7 am this morning, and the second shift, which began at 7:00 am and ended at 1:00 pm, around sixty absences were counted for lack of a green certificate out of 280 total workers. Little participation, in the evening, even in the only no Green pass event organized in the region. Fifty of them met in Cosenza to say no to the obligation of the green pass in the workplace.

Bologna: insults to Liliana Segre

Thousands in procession in Bologna on the first day of the obligation to Green pass at work, a protest march with heated disputes to the government, the municipality, the region, the Rai and even insults to the senator for life Liliana Segre, but ended without tensions with law enforcement. There was no disorder even in Rimini, where there were hundreds of activists in front of the town hall in the morning. The inconveniences for transport in Emilia-Romagna, expected and announced in recent days, were also present, but limited, and there were no critical situations in the factories. There have been no problems or blocks at the central station in Bologna, nor at the airport, even if the city traffic has suffered the repercussions of the march and another protest is announced tomorrow.Checks have also been made for public employees.

Tuscany: peaceful protests in Florence and Livorno

Well in Tuscany on the first day of compulsory Green pass on workplaces. The first effects measured on local public transport gave positive results: regular transport almost everywhere except for some inconveniences to users which were negligible and in any case limited to a few areas in the region. No trains canceled while for buses the shifts remained uncovered are few. Furthermore, the demonstrations of those who wanted to express dissent to the green pass to access workplaces were well: the main ones were in Florence and Livorno and took place in a peaceful manner with hundreds of people.

Sicily: first sit-in in Sigonella

Few adhesions to protests on the street and in public and private companies, ports and functioning transport. Historical date for Sigonella: the first 'sit-in' of the Air Force in front of the entrance gates of the Italian military base against "the green certificate for a fee". The garrison, which was attended by a few dozen demonstrators, was promoted by the Air Force Union (Siam), and took place from 7 to 7.25. A hundred demonstrators joined the no vax march through the Etnean capital chanting slogans against premier mario draghi and his government with the cry of 'freedom, freedom'. Similar protest in Messina.

Puglia without inconvenience

The Green pass makes its debut in Puglia between flops of protests and regular services, without blocks or problems. The only case worth mentioning is that of the long queues at two of the seven turnstiles of the Italian steelworks (formerly Ilva) in Taranto, due to a technical problem. In the Apulian ports of Taranto, Manfredonia, Barletta, Bari, Monopoli and Brindisi, where the percentage of vaccination among port employees reaches 99% coverage, there were no blocks due to protests or inefficiencies due to lack of personnel.

Trentino Alto Adige: pharmacies stormed

The first day in which the Green pass obligation is in force for workers in Trentino-Alto Adige ended with two sit-ins in Bolzano and a demonstration in Trento, an intervention by the carabinieri for a no pass employee who refused the ban on access to his workplace and with the assault on pharmacies for tampons. In the morning in Piazza Tribunale in Bolzano there was a sit-in of the no pass movement. About two hundred people gathered to demonstrate, without signs and without slogans, in silence against the entry into force of the green pass obligation on workplaces. In the afternoon in Bolzano at the shouting of "no green pass" and "we are free" more than a thousand people demonstrated, in a disciplined manner, in front of the headquarters of the junta and the provincial council.

Umbria: protests, but without stop

In Umbria, the start day of the obligation of the Green pass in the workplace was characterized by a protest demonstration, in Terni, but no particular problems were reported and even in the major companies in the region checks were carried out regularly and implants "marched". public transport is also regular. In Terni a few hundred people gathered in Piazza della Repubblica.

Lombardy: principals and processions, no tension

Some small garrisons scattered around the city of Milan that have become a procession through the streets of the center and a demonstration with about 500 people at the Milan Peace Arch to say no to the green certificate, all without tension. After 6 pm another procession, born from a garrison in piazza fontana, in the direction of piazza Duomo where hundreds of people gathered. In Milan the services have continued regularly since the morning: Trenord regional trains are also regular, where there has been no problem with the circulation of trains. Since the morning, some spontaneous 'no Green pass' principals have been held, in front of the court of Milan, in front of the State University where there were about a hundred students who made a raid inside the courtyard of the university with a banner 'no green pass to university '. The spontaneous garrisons all converged in a procession that ended at the arc of peace, where some demonstrators had already gathered, in a demonstration that reached a peak of about 500 people. Other principals of workers in the logistics sector were held in the Lodi area.

Campania: regular ports

No problem at the port of Naples and Salerno, no inconvenience for the blue overalls of the Stellantis factory in Pomigliano d'Arco (Naples), no interruption in the local public transport service. only a small protest in Caserta, by road maintenance workers, a sit-in of the si-cobas in Piazza Plebiscito in Naples and a peaceful demonstration in Ischia. Situation under control at the port of Naples where, according to the category acronyms, "the vast majority of workers are vaccinated". Identical situation at the port of Salerno.

Cagliari: buckets of water on the crowd

No discomfort in the ports of Sardinia, where more than 90% of workers are vaccinated, or in large companies on the first day of the mandatory Green pass. Only a few more absences than usual at the Sardinian transport company (Arst), with 20 trips skipped out of the 3,000 scheduled today. Cagliari motorists had to arm themselves with patience for the procession of about two thousand demonstrators who crossed some of the main roads in the center of the Sardinian capital. Those who, on the other hand, did not like the passage under the house of the human snake who shouted "freedom, freedom" and "Terrorist Bassetti", was an anonymous citizen who threw a bucket of water on the crowd who responded with insults while standing going towards the building that houses the offices of the region.Other mini events took place in Dorgali, in the Nuoro area, and in Olbia.

Ancona: few inconveniences

Protests in the Marches in particular in Ancona and Pesaro. No accident, but inconvenience this morning on the Flaminia entering the north of the regional capital, with long lines of cars and heavy vehicles, due to a sit-in in the port area in front of the construction sites (150-200 people including workers and other strangers at the port) with a consequent stop for four hours at the north entrance of the airport. The initiative did not compromise the operation of the port, however causing problems with traffic, in and out, with trucks and cars stopped for hours, and in the surrounding areas; the demonstrators then moved in sit-in and in procession on the causeway between the port and via Marconi, the latter also closed for a few hours.

Turin: demonstrations and inconveniences, but without blocks

The first day of Green pass in Piedmont amidst protests, especially in Turin, and uneasy situations which, however, do not seem to have slowed down or compromised activities and services at the moment. The fears for the sealing of public transport in the regional capital have not turned into reality. At the railway station of Domodossola (Vco) a freight train used for the transshipment of Tir from Switzerland was sent back: six of the sixteen drivers were without the document. Thus, the convoy did not arrive as expected at the Novara Boschetto airport. At the Palace of Justice in Turin it was discovered the existence, the only case in the whole region, of a professional judge without certification. There have been no last-minute assaults in pharmacies, although almost 60,000 rapid swabs were performed today. In Turin, Piazza Castello was monopolized for the whole day by demonstrations, in the presence of several hundred people.

Venice: strikes in some large factories, some street demonstrations, but no blockade

Regular ship traffic and no problem at the port of Venice. Only one no Green pass protester, among the 180 workers of the port, in front of the gate of the seaport this morning to protest against the government measure. At San Benedetto a hundred workers without a Green Pass demonstrated outside the gates, while about eighty (out of 1,300 employees) protested in front of the factories of the two companies of the Zoppas group. There were repercussions on public transport in Verona, with 400 bus trips canceled throughout the day, while in Venice the bus and vaporetto service did not suffer any backlash. There are two main manifestations of the 'no pass' groups. almost three thousand people present in Piazza Ferretto in Mestre, about 1,000 in Campo Marzo in Vicenza.

Guarantor launches strike evaluation from 15 to 20 October

The Commission to guarantee the implementation of the law on the strike in essential public services has launched "evaluation" procedures for the general strikes proclaimed from 15 to 20 October as part of the protests against the Green pass . The two resolutions adopted refer to the 'behavior' adopted by the Italian Federation of Intercategory Trade Unions and the Confederation of Italian Confederate Autonomous Unions for the proclamation of strikes. In both cases the Commission had called for the strike to be lifted. In particular, the Commission denies "failure to comply with the rule of objective rarefaction" and "failure to comply with the rules on electoral exemption".
