Today, Friday, Saudi Arabia announced that it would allow the full capacity of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to be used, as part of measures to ease restrictions imposed to curb the outbreak of the Corona virus.

And the official news agency (SPA) quoted an official source in the Ministry of Interior, that it was decided to allow the use of the full capacity in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, for those who received the two doses of the Corona vaccine, starting from Sunday, October 17, with obligating workers and visitors to wear the muzzle for all times.

The source added that it was also decided not to oblige to wear the muzzle in open places, to cancel the spacing and to allow the use of the full capacity in gatherings, public places, means of transportation, restaurants, cinemas, and others.

He continued, "It was allowed to hold and attend events in wedding halls and others without restricting the number, with the requirement of vaccination in two doses to enter all the sites and activities referred to."

On October 10, the Saudi authorities announced that the granting of Umrah and prayer permits in the Two Holy Mosques was limited to those vaccinated with two doses against the Corona virus.

And last August, Saudi Arabia announced in a statement, raising the capacity of pilgrims to two million per month instead of 600,000 pilgrims.

The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom also announced the approval of 6 vaccines to enter its territory, which are Pfizer-Biontech, Moderna, Oxford AstraZeneca, Johnson, Sinopharma and Sinovac, according to a previous statement by the ministry.

As of Friday, Saudi Arabia had recorded a total of 547,845 cases of coronavirus, including 8,758 deaths, and 536,859 cases of recovery.
