Inspirations from all over the world at Expo 2020 Dubai, one of the axes on which the women’s pavilion at the international exhibition focuses, by highlighting their experiences to visitors, in the context of identifying the positive impact of women in the world, and the challenges that they still face to this day, in addition to the difficulties overcoming them, and their role in influencing the social environment.

In the second section of the Women’s Pavilion, which deals with the topic of achievements, to shed light on the impact of women in the world, a set of pictures and stories emerge about distinguished women and girls, who faced various kinds of challenges to leave a mark in their societies, including the image of the Emirati sprinter Hamda Al Hosani, who achieved more Of 18 medals in the Special Olympics, she also received an honorary doctorate as a result of changing perceptions and concepts towards people of determination.

Al Hosani achieved impressive results in the World Games competitions at the Special Olympics, after she specialized in running 100 and 200 meters. She is also an amateur sports, loves to play football and basketball, and is a member of the equestrian team.

Hamda is an impressive and inspiring success story in the Emirates, behind her is her mother (Zafarana Ahmed Al Hosani), who was called the “Mother of People of Determination.” She is a partner in her success, always accompanies her in competitions, and encourages her to achieve achievements.

Zafarana is a mother of seven daughters and four sons, and she managed to live with Hamda's condition, and another daughter, Maryam, who in turn also succeeded in bowling, winning five golds, three silvers, and three bronzes.

The two sisters represented the UAE in many international and regional competitions, including the "World Games - Abu Dhabi 2019 for the Special Olympics", and before that several tournaments since 2008 until today.

Over the course of the six months of Expo 2020 Dubai, the Women's Pavilion will host a range of activities, programs and dialogues that will go beyond enhancing understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment, to stimulating tangible joint action that can be shared with the world.
