The one who was first vice president of the Government until this summer, Carmen Calvo, lost her pulse against the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, with the approval of the Trans Law. The socialist was unable to impose the theses of the so-called classic feminism against those of the

shared by United We Can. And that defeat resulted in his departure from the Executive of Pedro Sánchez, who ended up assuming gender self-determination after a bitter controversy within socialism.

And that PSOE is the one that this Friday has stood up to ovation Calvo, who remains as secretary of Equality of the party and has participated in a debate on feminism in the framework of the 40th Socialist Federal Congress, in Valencia.

An opportunity that Calvo has taken advantage of to vindicate himself after being shown that he has the support of a large part of the party's rank and file.

His words have been, directly, the most acclaimed.

And that the former vice president, who has vehemently defended the abolitionist position of prostitution, had messages for everyone.

Starting with her own party, which she has reminded of which side she should be on and all "what she owes to the feminist movement of this country", which "has 200 years behind her."

So be careful not to forget that legacy and put classic feminism aside, she has come to say to President Sánchez who dropped her: "Feminism is not a mixed bag so that everything is put into it and endures everything."

"Sex" and "gender"

Because the following will be to fall into the trap of "modernity" that Unidos Podemos tends: "There are difficult battles because they are masked by false freedom and modernity."

"We do not do politics by short dribbling. We are not trileros," added the Cordovan leader a few hours after the party enters fully into the debate on the amendments to the framework presentation.

Some amendments that, in fact, show that today the struggle continues within the PSOE itself between the different feminist currents, which initially disagree on the use of "sex" and "gender".

Furthermore, Calvo has not stopped attacking the right wing and its conception of feminism: "The others talk about liberal feminism and 20,000 other things because deep down they don't see it clearly."

And what she sees, she has warned the audience, are "52 seats of organized fascists while the PP does not know where it is."
