When they arrived, the rider was on the ground.
He was seriously injured.
Declared deceased on site
The emergency services tried to save him.
In vain.
The 50-year-old was declared dead on site by the mobile emergency and resuscitation service.
Six firefighters had been mobilized for this intervention.
Beaconing had also been put in place to secure the premises while the emergency services act.
The mayor of Préaux, Gérard Moreau, also visited the scene of the tragedy.
