The Versailles court (Yvelines) on Wednesday tried an 18-year-old young man prosecuted for attempted theft, reports

78Actu.

He was accused of stealing luxury car keys from a Mercedes dealership in Rambouillet and from an Audi dealership in Les Ulis.

The head of the Mercedes dealership had lodged a complaint with the police station on September 30.

The cameras had filmed everything: the suspect had entered the workshop and had seized the keys of an AMG being repaired.

Fourteen months in prison

When the man returned to the scene on October 11, he was spotted by an employee and the police intervened to arrest him.

He was wearing the same clothes as on the September 30 flight.

Keys to an Audi had also been found on him.

After verification, they were those stolen three days earlier in a concession in Essonne.

The thief already had two records in the criminal record, for violence and narcotics.

Before the judges, the defendant denied outright, assuring that he had found the keys and wanted to bring them back.

The public prosecutor requested fourteen months in prison.

The court followed up and pronounced the sentence.
